Acting Comptroller Kelly Hancock released a study that found the Port of Hidalgo handled $46.4 billion in trade and supported 92,000 net jobs while contributing $9.3 billion to Texas’ GDP in 2024.

South Texas College will launch a 230-hour hybrid yoga certification program on Feb.
16, led by yoga instructor Sylvia Morales-Billing — the course will combine practice with business training and offer financial aid for those who qualify.

McAllen is investing over $6 million in an upgrade to its recycling center.
The project begins with an electrical system upgrade & installation of high-speed sorting technology to capture up to 95% of recyclables by the end of the year.
