CRIME NEWS

  • Jury selection begins for Julio Diaz, charged with murder and arson for the shooting death of Robert Wise outside the McAllen Masonic Lodge, with the crime shared on social media.  KRGV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Governor Greg Abbott announced the deployment of over 400 soldiers from Houston and Fort Worth to the U.S.-Mexico border to assist Border Patrol agents and enforce immigration laws.  KRGV
  • About 50 migrants, mostly from Central America and Cuba, were deported and handed over to Mexico's National Migration Institute at the Hidalgo International Bridge.  KRGV
