- ➤ After eight years, 5x5 Brewing Company in Mission will close its doors permanently at the end of February; it will continue selling beer until supplies run out. Co-owner Kevin Jackson said rising operational costs & lingering pandemic-era debt forced the decision. KRGV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Cottonwood Avenue repairs will begin on Feb. 2 in La Villa—weather permitting—and will take two to three weeks to complete. The $700,000 project funded by the Hidalgo County Urban County Program will require drivers to use 8th Street near Muñoz Elementary and La Villa Middle schools. KRGV
