- ➤ Sunny Glen Children's Home will host its Third Annual FORE! The Kids Topgolf Classic to raise funds for foster children in the Rio Grande Valley. Organizers say details on the date and location will be shared soon — check local bulletins for updates. KRGV

- ➤ RioPlex is planning a series of trade missions to Japan, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom later this year to drum up business for the region. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Sharyland ISD is set to hold a $250 million bond election on May 2 to fund campus upgrades, new technology, and an aquatic center for nearly 10,000 students. The measure would raise the property tax by about 19 cents, adding roughly $28 per month. KRGV
- ➤ McAllen ISD announced a $335 million bond election on May 2 to fund campus modernizations, safety upgrades, and new CTE and fine arts facilities, with no expected change in the current $0.93 tax rate. The board approved the plan on Feb. 10. KRGV

- ➤ Cardiologist Dr. Francis Dimtri at DHR Health in Edinburg is offering a $49 heart CT calcium score screening from February through April for patients with risk factors (family history, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure or overweight) to detect coronary artery disease early. - ➤ Window washers dressed as Spider-Man and Batman surprised patients at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Edinburg on Tuesday. They rappelled down the building — the first time for this event — to bring smiles and a welcome distraction to young visitors. KRGV
