- ➤ Hidalgo County’s economic development meeting was held at UTRGV’s Center for Innovation (Weslaco) where Judge Cortez and regional leaders stressed working together to attract billions in investment and 25,000 new jobs. Rio Grande Guardian

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 is doubling the Panchitas Outfall Canal near La Villa to improve stormwater capacity and protect homes from flooding. The $3 million project, funded through a 2023 bond, began in January and will finish by late October. KRGV
