- ➤ Juan Carlos Contreras, a 20-year-old street racer in Edinburg, was arrested after his 1992 Ford Mustang rolled over during a drunken race, ejecting his passenger Fede Gonzalez with non-life-threatening injuries—Judge Vanessa Flores set his bond at $200,000 as police increased patrols to stop reckless driving.
