- ➤ In Edcouch, 12-year-old Luis Rodriguez noticed his home was on fire last weekend and quickly woke his family so they could escape safely — although the Rodríguez family lost their home and belongings, investigators are still determining the cause. ValleyCentral.com

- ➤ Jose Luis Hernandez, a 56-year-old McAllen man, turned himself in today for failing to update his mandatory lifetime registration as a sex offender and the Hidalgo County District Attorney warned that noncompliance can lead to serious criminal penalties—state jail felonies and extended incarceration. - ➤ McAllen Police are looking for 35-year-old Antonio Ramirez Jr.—a suspect with two active warrants—accused of stealing construction items from local retailers. Fox Rio Grande Valley
- ➤ During a routine traffic stop in La Joya, police stopped a red Chevrolet pickup truck and found 22 grams of meth and a handgun, so they arrested 46-year-old Herman De La Cruz Jr.—his bond was set at $40,000. Fox Rio Grande Valley

- ➤ Texas reported 327 measles cases with most infections affecting unvaccinated school-age children and officials warn of rising concerns. McAllen ISD—working with Hidalgo County Health and Human Services Department—is hosting a free vaccine clinic on March 31 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Crockett Administrative Building to help protect local students and families.
