- ➤ Team Mario, a non-profit that promotes autism awareness, will hold a free 5K run tomorrow at Edinburg Municipal Park with an autism fair at 5:00 p.m. and a buddy walk at 7:00 p.m.—marking their 10th annual run during Autism Awareness Month. ValleyCentral.com
- ➤ Luisa Saenz—a retired children’s advocate and former Children's Defense Fund-RGV leader—secured $35.9 million in grants for local nonprofits and now helps Valley View High School students get accepted to top universities. - ➤ Rio Grande City police are searching for 23-year-old Lazaro Barrera—authorities ask the public for any information that could locate him. KRGV
- ➤ Border Patrol agents in Brownsville stopped two drug smuggling attempts last night and early this morning — seizing nearly 260 pounds of marijuana valued at over $200K and arresting six people, though one suspect fled to Mexico. Fox Rio Grande Valley
- ➤ DPS officers raided a Pharr apartment complex near North Jackson Road — Minnesota Road and seized illegal narcotics during a search warrant while residents reported a heavy police presence as the investigation remains active. Fox Rio Grande Valley

- ➤ One week after large floods hit the Valley, San Benito resident Richard Gonzalez spent his day cleaning floodwater from his long-time home on South Bonham Street because he does not have flood insurance and lives on a fixed income. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ South Texas Health System is partnering with KRGV & UTRGV School of Nursing to offer free blood glucose screenings at its McAllen and Edinburg hospitals every Friday in April.
