- ➤ Site selector Carl Quesinberry of Avison Young visited McAllen at the Cambria Hotel (as part of a COSTEP event hosted by the Council for South Texas Economic Prosperity) and presented on attracting investment by emphasizing unique local assets; he answered audience questions about the Rio Grande Valley’s economic strengths. GOVERNMENT NEWS

- ➤ Free glucose screenings are available all month at South Texas Health System in Edinburg as part of the Heart of the Valley campaign—they help catch diabetes early with immediate results. Residents can email [email protected] for live doctor advice. KRGV
- ➤ Miguel Villarreal, a local with type 2 diabetes, is in a clinical trial for the FDA-approved weight loss pill orforglipron at Texas Valley Clinical Research.
