ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Jon Dale, director at American Forests, is leading an effort to restore the Tamaulipan thornforest that once spread over 1 million acres in the Rio Grande Valley & is launching a community forest in the flood-prone San Carlos neighborhood to lessen storm damage and extreme heat. Today, less than 10 percent of the original forest remains, and his team is testing new planting methods to help native trees survive harsh conditions. Click2Houston.com
