- ➤ An off-duty Border Patrol agent, Alejandro Luna, was killed in a two-vehicle crash on South Ware Road near the 3200 block at 2 p.m.—a GMC pickup rolled over injuring a passenger while the Chevrolet Tahoe driver suffered serious injuries and local police began investigating as CBP held a hospital walk of honor for Luna. - ➤ The McAllen Police Department is asking the public for help finding Alfredo Becerra—43—who is accused of breaking into a home on the 500 block of East Jasmine Avenue and assaulting a resident on April 7. KRGV
- ➤ Jose Maria Mendoza turned himself in to McAllen police after allegedly taking part in a gunpoint home invasion on Business 83 last Wednesday — he now faces burglary charges and awaits arraignment. Fox Rio Grande Valley
