- ➤ A McAllen nun will attend Pope Francis’ funeral in Rome and said the late Pope supported her work with migrants and Catholic Charities by encouraging continued service in the area. She urged local Catholics to pray for Pope Francis, the Cardinals, and South Texas. KRGV
- ➤ South Texas Comic Con is underway this weekend in McAllen (fans visit pop-up shops and join cosplay contests) as visitors enjoy meeting celebrity guests. - ➤ South Texas Health launched its amputation prevention center earlier this year to help diabetes patients keep their legs by clearing blocked arteries with a treatment that does not need general anesthesia.
