- ➤ An 18-year-old woman, Karla Miranda Delgado, was arrested Wednesday in Donna for driving a stolen Jeep Gladiator from Brownsville—she faces charges for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading arrest with a motor vehicle, and resisting arrest as per the Texas Department of Public Safety. - ➤ Dennis Keith Bullard, 69, was arraigned on Wednesday after he allegedly struck a 13-year-old girl crossing the street to B.L Garza Middle School and fled the scene, and he faces a $90,000 bond—charges include collision involving serious bodily injury and unlawful carrying of a weapon while the girl was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries. - ➤ An 18-year-old student, Kinzey Lira, was arrested Tuesday at Edinburg North High School after officers found an unloaded firearm and a loaded magazine in his backpack following an anonymous tip—he is set for today’s federal court appearance on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm in a school zone with a bond of $100,000. - ➤ An 18-year-old Edinburg North High School student, Kinzey Lira, was arrested Tuesday after officers found an unloaded Glock pistol and a magazine with 10 rounds in his backpack—he said he modified the weapon—while his bond was set at $100,000 and he is scheduled to appear in federal court tomorrow. - ➤ MXLAN, a three-day arts and culture festival, will return to McAllen this weekend with live music, dance performances, an artisan and food market, art workshops— and lucha libre events.
