- ➤ The Texas Department of Public Safety is asking for help to find the driver of a dark passenger car that fled the scene on Sunday at 6 a.m. on Mile 4 West Road north of Mile 12½ Road North in Weslaco after hitting and killing 27-year-old Cassandra I. Hernandez—who was walking southbound. KRGV
- ➤ The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office said a 20-year-old Hispanic man was found dead inside a vehicle in rural Donna on Sunday around 3 p.m.—one person was detained for questioning—as deputies investigate the shooting. KRGV
