- ➤ ICE officials detained 25 undocumented immigrants from Mexico and Honduras at construction sites in South Padre Island and Brownsville— the detainees are now awaiting deportation— as part of a worksite enforcement operation. Fox Rio Grande Valley
- ➤ The McAllen Police Department is searching for 26-year-old Diego Gonzalez Alvarado, who allegedly exposed himself at a business parking lot on South 10th Street on May 17; he is described as 6'0 and about 225 pounds with black hair & brown eyes, and police urge anyone with information to call McAllen Crime Stoppers at 956-687-8477 & assist in his capture. - ➤ U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents raided several sites in the Rio Grande Valley this week and arrested more than 50 undocumented immigrants, which has left local workers and business owners worried as shoppers avoid stores—fear continues to affect the community.
