- ➤ McAllen ISD will host the Fill The Bus donation drive from July 14—July 16 at its Central Office on 2000 North 23rd Street to collect non-perishable food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, blankets, clothing and first aid supplies for Kerr County flood victims. Rio Grande Valley students may also drop off letters or drawings to encourage affected families. KRGV
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ An 18-year-old man, identified as Ricardo Patrick Emery, was arrested in McAllen after police chased him on foot following a stolen vehicle from Brownsville and he is held on burglary charges from Sunrise Mall + detectives recovered stolen jewelry from him. ValleyCentral.com
- ➤ On Monday, Ryan Louis Mosqueda, 27, who was reported missing from Weslaco after an argument with his father, shot at the Border Patrol facility in McAllen and injured three before federal agents returned fire and killed him — his father had warned police that Mosqueda was known to have an AR-15 and pistol in his truck — and investigators are still determining a motive.
