ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A man in his mid-60s in Edinburg escaped a mobile home fire Tuesday night on Lemon Street after a smoke alarm installed by the Edinburg Fire Department alerted him — firefighters contained the fire and kept it from spreading to nearby homes. KRGV
- ➤ Firefighters responded to a house fire on the 1600 block of Lemon Street at 10:22 p.m. Tuesday and a man in his mid-60s said a smoke detector installed last month by the Edinburg Fire Department saved his life, even though the fire started in the kitchen and later left the home a total loss (the department stresses that detectors save lives).
