I-LinCP RGV Chapter and Harlingen Economic Development Corporation will host Powering Texas and Regional Growth: Infrastructure + Workforce Exchange on Aug.
13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harlingen Convention Center to discuss infrastructure and workforce readiness for our area's growth.
🏥 Health
Methodist Healthcare Ministries is launching a new Blue Zones initiative to shift care from treating sickness to promoting community health in McAllen, Edinburg, Mission and Pharr.
The program will expand to include additional towns if further studies confirm readiness — a move that could bring lasting changes to the Valley.
Harlingen and Brownsville will join a Blue Zones health initiative to improve community wellness.
Assessment teams in Cameron County started work in May, and municipal leaders agreed to cover 10% of costs, with public keynotes (Aug. 27 in Harlingen and Sept. 2 in Brownsville) attracting strong local interest.
