- ➤ A vehicle accident near Edinburg has been resolved as the road reopened after one car struck a power pole (near Richardson and Cesar Chavez roads) and that pole hit another car, with the Texas Department of Public Safety and Edinburg Fire Department leading the response. KRGV

- ➤ A shooting in Edinburg left Julio Cesar Soto Jr. shot in the face last night on the 4500 block of Fed Drive—officers said the suspect fired an AR-style rifle during a social gathering and then fled in a red Corvette, and the investigation is ongoing. Fox Rio Grande Valley
- ➤ Devin Ethan Martinez was arrested for arson and resisting arrest near South Texas Health System in Alamo — he allegedly set a cart and some dollar bills on fire and now faces a $90,000 fine as legal proceedings continue. Fox Rio Grande Valley

- ➤ Parents at Vanguard Academy’s Van Gogh campus in Pharr raised alarm over a new policy that directs all student drop-offs and pickups to Jackson Road—creating heavy traffic and safety risks.
