- ➤ Hidalgo County authorities said they are seeking community help to locate 21-year-old suspect Giovanni Palomino after a violent Palm View home invasion over the weekend in which he allegedly assaulted a victim and stole a cell phone and vehicle — they believe he may have crossed into Mexico and urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers. - ➤ A fatal car crash in Mission at the intersection of First Street and Slabo Avenue took the life of a 24-year-old man driving a red Chevy Avalanche after he hit an unoccupied Honda Civic — Mission Police reported that his failure to buckle up contributed to the tragedy and urged drivers to use their seatbelts.
