- ➤ Yesterday morning, the McAllen Fire Department held a remembrance ceremony at the central fire station on 21st Street to honor victims and first responders of the 9/11 attacks — a solemn event that remembered nearly 3,000 lives — and Fire Chief Juan Gloria said the ceremony honored their sacrifice and teamwork among police, fire and EMS.
