- ➤ Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting in Donna where Miriam Valdez is accused of accidentally discharging a firearm during a game with her boyfriend, and investigators are processing evidence and asking community members for tips & her family maintains that the act was unintentional. - ➤ Edinburg EDC launched the Bank on INT! paid internship program for nine UTRGV undergraduates to gain 200 hours of hands-on banking experience with local institutions — Freedom Bank, Rio Bank, Texas National Bank, Lone Star National Bank, and Greater State Bank — as part of a ten-week summer program starting June 9.
