- ➤ At a Progreso ISD school board meeting on June 26, community members urged the board to remove President Juan Jose Ramos following his arrest on June 17 for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance — the board noted it lacks the authority to vote him out, and Ramos apologized while saying he would serve his term until May 2026.
